Eagles swept away in FSU doubleheader

At least they didn't get swept the whole weekend?

Boston College played two against the Seminoles on Sunday at Shea Field, coming off of BC's first ever defeat of FSU in Boston on Friday.  The Eagles led in the first game of the twinbill but let it slip away at the end, with the bullpen giving up the winning runs in the 9th.  I saw none of the second game but it was a 9-1 Florida State lead at one point, meaning the Eagles were never really in the game.  These losses move BC down to 27-22 (13-14).

1 out of 3 is more or less in line with what I expected out of this series.  It's not the worst possible outcome, though it's not great.  Boston College is very much in limbo with regards to the NCAA Tournament, and have not yet even sealed a berth in the ACC Tournament.  North Carolina and NC State could both still mathematically pass BC, which would put BC at 9th place (and I can assure you that the Eagles would be out of the NCAA Tournament if they didn't even make the ACC Tournament).  It's very much a crapshoot right now, so I would say that if they can get to 30 wins before (hopefully) an ACC Tournament bid, they'll at least be alive.  Things don't look very good right now but they still at least have a little bit to play for this season.
