BC beats UNC; clinches spot in ACC Tournament

For the first time in program history, the Boston College Eagles will play in the ACC Baseball Tournament. Their 3-1 win over #4 UNC this afternoon at Chestnut Hill gave BC their 13th ACC win and sealed their spot. It is also the Eagles' 31st overall win of the season (31-21, 13-13 ACC).

There is still a little question as to which seed BC will be. With the win, BC has just pulled a half game in front of Duke for the #7 spot, but of course both teams have more ACC games to go. Without looking at any standings I believe 7th is probably the highest BC can go with 8th being obviously the lowest.

2 more games in this series and then off to Durham on May 20.
