I -- yes, I -- will be in attendance at the Conte Forum for this one tonight, as the Wildcats of the University of New Hampshire will take on the Boston College Eagles. Since this article, therefore, is being prepared in a pinch, I will be brief. This matchup will pit the defending national champion and number 4 team in the nation against last year's Hockey East regular season champions and the current number ten team in the country.
Riding into this game, BC, who are 2-2 in their last four games, most recently defeated UMass-Lowell on Tuesday night at home by a score of 5-2. Goal scorers for the Eagles were Krieder (2), Atkinson (2), and Jimmy Hayes. UML managed only 17 shots on goal, and John Muse stopped 15 of them.
New Hampshire's season to date looks strange on a schedule sheet. The Wildcats come into this game at 2-1-2, but having beaten Cornell last week, 7-4. Their points leaders so far this year are Phil DeSimone, a Washington Capitals prospect, and Mike Borisenok, a junior forward.
This should be a close, exciting game for you to catch at Conte if you're fortunate enough to go. The Eagles by one goal sounds about right. See you folks there; I'll be wearing my shirt with the name of this site on the back.
