So, how about that BC pitching?

Let me start off with a graph:

That there graph sure says it all about BC baseball, doesn't it?  I mean, I'll be fair here: there are some BC pitchers who are having nice seasons, such as Taylor Lasko (SP, 3.97), Matt Brazis (RP, 2.38) and Nate Bayuk (RP, 3.86).  For almost all of the rest, however, it's not pretty.  In fact, towards the bottom of the stat sheet, the numbers get downright ugly.  Take those three guys out in addition to Dean, and the rest of the team's ERA is about 9.20.  It is clear, however, that the most dominant pitcher on Boston College by far is Pat Dean.  In Sunday's crushing loss at Clemson, the BC bullpen and defense gagged up 8 runs in the 8th inning to seal the defeat.  This has been kind of the story of this season so far for BC.  They're not going anywhere without pitching, and right now, they don't have it.

When we get to the 30-game mark, I will hit you with some more stats for this season, which clearly are nowhere near as good as they were last year.
