Here we go again

Another day, another embarrassing performance for BC. I want to break down the first ten of this season.

Out-of-conference regular-season losses:

2009-2010: 4 (5 OOC games left)
2008-2009: 3
2007-2008: 4
2006-2007: 4
2005-2006: 1
2004-2005: 0
2003-2004: 2
2002-2003: 4
2001-2002: 2
2000-2001: 1

Record through first ten games:

2009-2010: 6-4
2008-2009: 8-2
2007-2008: 8-2
2006-2007: 7-3
2005-2006: 8-2
2004-2005: 10-0
2003-2004: 9-1
2002-2003: 6-4

This is BC's worst start since 2002-2003 as they've been very average in OOC play.

In the last few seasons, however, of those OOC losses, they've had some Kansases and Purdues sprinkled in there. Now, of these 4 OOC losses, not one of them was against quality opposition. Tonight, against Rhode Island, they looked pretty awful.

They had better plan on winning 10-11 games in the conference this year if they want to play in a meaningful postseason tournament. Their OOC resume will be regarded as unimpressive come March, especially if they tack on another loss between here and January.
