The Eagles' season continues on into the month of April with more and more games being played up north, and their recent journey took them to Storrs, CT. BC beat UConn yesterday on the road with a 9th-inning comeback. They stand at 17-9 (5-5) and are one game out of first place in the ACC Atlantic. Their next series is against the team directly below them in the standings: NC State.
For purposes of comparison, BC was 12-14 through 26 games last season and were a miserable 2-10 in the ACC. If that doesn't have you thinking positively about them, I don't know what will. They appear to be much better this season.
When it comes to the ACC baseball tournament, for those who are out of the loop, here's how it goes: 8 of the conferences 12 teams will qualify. The top 2 teams from each division and then the 4 remaining best teams are invited. At present -- and we still have a long way to go -- BC would be essentially the last team in the field at 5-5.
