BC Baseball defeats Bryant, record up to 25-15

BC got the game in today despite there being a lot of rain in the area, and the Eagles won 16-8. Mickey Wiswall had 7 RBI off of Bryant pitching and Andrew Lawrence had 6. Three guys in the lineup had 4 hits as the Eagles racked up 17 of them. P Mike Dennhardt looked pretty good in going to 4-0, throwing 6 innings with only 1 of his 4 runs being earned. The only glaring no-no for BC was the "5" in the error column.

Next up is Harvard, whom BC beat in the Beanpot consolation game by a score of 9-5. With one more win, the Eagles will match their win total from last year at 26. One big reason why the Eagles are outperforming last season is their improved road record: this year, BC is 14-8 in non-neutral games away from Chestnut Hill; last year they were 11-15.

BC is 5th overall in the ACC in batting average (.316) as of yesterday and 6th in staff pitching (4.76 ERA). Until today's 5-error game, they were 2nd best in the conference in defensive (.975 fielding). This is a respectable team having a respectable season.
