BC Baseball beats Dartmouth, clinches winning season

The Boston College Baseball Eagles will have their first winning season since 2006 and their first under coach Mik Aoki after today's shutout victory over the Dartmouth Mean Green at Commander Shea Field, conveniently located in the shadow of Alumni Stadium. Freshman pitcher Mike Dennhardt was very good; pitching 8 shutout innings with 5 hits, no walks, and 11 strikeouts. The 9th inning was scary for the Eagles when Oxley loaded the bases with one out, but a further bullpen move and the two strikeouts which followed secured the win. Dennhardt is now 5-0.

The victory was the Eagles' third shutout of the year. BC now gets a day off and then gets to play 3 with the #13 Hurricanes. This is going to be a very, very critical series for the Eagles if they want to keep their spot in the ACC Tournament.
