Boston College is DOA in the ACC Baseball Tournament anyway, but this is how the last day of the regular season looks. If my tiebreaker math is incorrect, forgive me:
Scenario 1: Boston College beats Georgia Tech
Result: Boston College qualifies for ACC Tournament
The Eagles own the tiebreakers over both UNC (common opponents record) and NC State (head-to-head sweep) and would clinch at least the 8th spot.
Scenario 2: Boston College loses to Georgia Tech, North Carolina beats Virginia Tech
Result: Boston College does not qualify for ACC Tournament
The Eagles would be 13-17 and Tar Heels 14-16. NC State can finish no worse than 14-16 so it does not matter what they do in this case.
Scenario 3: Boston College loses to Georgia Tech, North Carolina loses to Virginia Tech
Result: Boston College qualifies for ACC Tournament
BC 13-17, UNC 13-17 (BC tiebreaker).
