Hockey East finals preview plus baseball

My Hockey East title game preview is on BC Interruption right now for your amusement and such.  For the record, I expect the Eagles to win this game and hoist the Lamoriello Trophy on Saturday night.

Next, in case you missed it (and you're lucky if you did), BC baseball fell again tonight, this time to the top team in the country, Virginia, by a 7-1 score.  John Spatola batted in BC's only run on a late dinger (that sounds filthy for some reason), while Chris Kowalski came out of the pen to throw 4.2 IP of one-run ball.  Unfortunately, Kevin Moran (the starting pitcher for the Eagles) was not nearly as good, getting charged for six earned runs in two and a third innings.

BC is now 7-10 (1-3) and it's getting late early for the Eagles.  Aside from Pat Dean, this team has nothing in terms of starting pitching right now.  That is a recipe for going nowhere.
