I say we take back the trophy, how about you?
The Eagles are soaring into the TD Garden for tonight's game against BU with pride (and another win) on the line. BC has recently had trouble with the Terriers, losing the Winter Classic at Fenway last month and losing an overtime decision at the Conte Forum not too long ago. Our guys, however, have been red hot in their last three games, with a combined scoring margin of 18-3 in those victories. Their most recent one was a 7-1 bitchslapping of #15 UMass in front of one of their biggest-ever crowds.
This BU team is not as good as last year's (obviously), but they're putting it all together a little bit. They've won 6 out of their last 8 games and are guaranteed to be a major pain in the ass on Monday night. As much as I don't like to admit it, there is talent on the other side of the ice.
If you've got tickets, get your BC gear on and do us proud. A Beanpot win and continued hockey success would be a very good thing in an otherwise dismal winter sports season at BC. Who needs a lousy college basketball team when we have this?
