The 2009 Yankee season debut was a complete disaster. It wasn't the fact that they lost which would irritate most Yankee fans; it was the Yankees appearing to have shed none of their fatal flaws from the 2008 campaign: lack of "clutch" hitting, frustrating ABs, bad pitching, and eye-popping blunders. Furthermore, the Orioles are not a great team; they're not even a good team. The Yankees got outplayed for most of the game by them.
I don't trust the Yanks to not revert back to their old ways after what I saw last year and yesterday. They're going to have to win consistently before I believe they're going to make it.
