BC Baseball survives QU, now 27-17

Let's not make any bones about it (I hate that expression but I use it anyway; go figure): this is a game BC should have probably won going away. Quinnipiac came into the game having lost roughly 2/3rds of their games and the Eagles at one point had a 9-3 lead. QU came back to tie but BC answered back with 3 of their own in the bottom of the 8th to seal the win. The Eagles pounded out 20 hits and Matt Hamlet had 5 of them (which for him is a career record). Not a particularly impressive win but I'll take it; a win is a win.

Boston College has now surpassed last year's win total with their 27th victory, and one more regular season victory will assure them of a winning season. They can get that win tomorrow against Dartmouth at home. Mik Aoki is having his best season yet with this squad and things may be looking up a bit for this program, but the upcoming ACC games will tell the tale. If you're in town and you're free, head on down and support your Boston College Eagles.
