How the hell was Illinois a 5 seed, or ranked? A million people, myself included, saw this WKU upset coming from a mile away.
Binghamton is terrible, and the quick early fouls didn't help. Duke on the free throw line early? Surely you jest!
I thought VCU could pull the upset because I clearly didn't think UCLA were as good as they have been in the last few years. Clearly they're better than the Rams. Almost, though.

Clemson continues their tradition of playing great early and sucking late in the year. Pretty pathetic performance by the Tigers, who are the first ACC team out of the tournament.
Nova is fortunate to have won this game; they sleepwalked through the first 25 minutes of the contest and let American streak out to a big lead, but lo and behold, as soon as they started playing smart, they started cutting the deficit and eventually winning.

Mutiple-bid conference standings following the day session:
ACC: UNC/UMD still alive (5 teams yet to play)
Big East: UConn still alive (6 to play)
Big Ten: Purdue still alive (6 to play)
SEC: LSU still alive, MSST out (1 to play)
Big 12: Texas A&M still alive (5 to play)
Pac-10: Washington still alive, California out (4 to play)
At the moment, the only major conference with a team out of the dance is the Pac-10, but the Washington/Mississippi State game could give the SEC a team out.
A10: 3 teams yet to play
MWC: BYU out, Utah yet to play
Horizon: Butler out, Cleveland state yet to play.
Mid-majors only got 4 at-large bids this year, and 2 of them are out before dinnertime of Day 1.

The 1-seeds are rolling, rolling, and rolling some more. The Mocs were in their game for about 10 minutes whereas Radford was really never in their game at all.
Cal played a terrible game against Maryland. Absolutely miserable. The ACC is 2-0 in the early going.
-----------
I should know better than to pick Butler after losing to Cleveland State, but LSU is really not much better. What a matchup indeed.
Gotta see one big upset here soon. Major props to the Cal State Northridge Matadors for keeping Memphis as close as they did for as long as they did.
-----------
In the early slate, we have 1 awful game, 1 meh game, and one scary game (for everyone's bracket).
Butler really does look pretty bad, as do the Cougars. Memphis is letting Cal State Northridge hang in there much to everyone's surprise.
On another note, MMOD's video quality is amazing. I really have to give them credit.
